Renewal Registrations
Registrations expire at midnight on the birthday of the person listed first on the title or registration. Registrations for businesses are staggered and are due according to the first letter of the company name as shown on the title or registration. Deadlines for businesses are as follows:

We encourage everyone to use the mail or to use eservices.drives.ga.gov for tag renewals. Please allow enough time before your designated deadline to process and mail your tag renewal. Applications sent by mail must be postmarked by midnight on your birthday in order to avoid a 10% penalty on the taxes and a 25% penalty on the tag fee. You risk the possibility of a citation if the decal is not displayed by your deadline.
Non-receipt of a renewal registration does not relieve you of your responsibility to register and pay taxes by your designated deadline. If you do not receive a renewal registration in the mail, you may either call (404) 613-6100 to request a renewal, or you may fax the request to (404) 730-7172. Allow enough time for us to mail renewals before your designated deadline.
