Ad Valorem Taxes

Ad valorem taxes must be paid prior to receiving a tag or decal. These taxes are due every year at renewal registration time, even for vehicles that are not operational. Taxes are assessed according to the make and model of the vehicle and the tax district in which you live. Late payments of ad valorem taxes are assessed a 10% penalty.
